Dr. Gali Mir-Tibon is an Israeli writer and academic. She has launched in Bucharest the Romanian language version of her acclaimed novel "The List of the Mothers".

The event was hosted by the Ambassador of Germany to Romania, Angela Ganninger, and the Ambassador of Israel to Romania, Lior Ben Dor. It included a short performance by the Jewish State Theatre.
The book depicts the story of several Jewish women, among whom the writer’s mother, deported to Transnistria during the Holocaust. Dr. Mir-Tibon’s family originated in Bukovina, an intercultural region in northern Romania.
