Kottarashky and the Rain Dogs @ Taifas 2025
Kottarashky and the Rain Dogs (Bulgaria) have performed at the Taifas Festival in Timișoara.

The Bulgarian musician Kottarashky (Nikola Gruev) and his band The Rain Dogs performed in Timișoara, on the stage of the TAIFAS 2025 Balkan Film and Culture Festival, on October 18.
Known for their Balkan fusion style, they bring together jazz, blues, trip-hop, dub, breakbeat and traditional Balkan motifs. The band was founded by musician and sound collector Nikola Gruev (Kottarashky), who started from authentic recordings combined with electronic beats and managed to create a unique musical formula.
The film “Balkan Black Box”, screened at the Taifas 2025 Festival, portrays Kottarashky, a former architect who abandoned the security of architectural projects for the insecurity of music.
RRI’s Eugen Cojocariu had a talk with Nikola Gruev before the concert in Timișoara.
