The Bucharest National Opera House was the venue for the 24th Magna cum Laude-Reut Friendship Gala, an already traditional event, dedicated to excellence and friendship

Special guests from Israel stepped onto the Gala stage to light a Hanukkah candle, including family members of people who got killed in the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023.
The widow of Ofir Libstein, head of the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council from 2018 to 2023, was also among them. Libstein was killed in the Kfar Aza massacre.
Little Avigail Idan was also in Bucharest. She was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, when she was only 3 years old. Her parents got killed by the terrorists. After her return, Avigail and her two siblings have been adopted by Leron and Zoli Mor, the family of her aunt, on her mother’s side.
