TRAVEL ALERT: Civilian nationwide restrictions in Israel
The Israeli authorities (Home Front Command) have announced nationwide civilian restrictions, including the closure of airspace, due to escalating military operations against Iran.

The Israeli authorities (Homefront Command) have announced nationwide civilian restrictions. Effective Saturday, February 28, at 8 A.M., these restrictions are set to remain in place until at least Monday, March 2, at 8.00 P.M. (18.00 GMT). During this timespan all activities and services at national level in Israel are limited to those considered essential.
The newly implemented restrictions include:
- Public gatherings are prohibited.
- Israel’s airspace is closed.
- People must remain close to a protected area (missile shelter) at all times.

Foreign citizens who are in Israel or transiting this state are advised to follow the instructions of local authorities, take shelter in specially designed buildings and public spaces, in the event of air raid alarms.
Foreign citizens in Israel are also advised to stay informed at all times about the security situation in the areas where they travel or carry out their activities, to remain vigilant, and to strictly follow all instructions and restrictions issued by the local authorities.
