Air alert at the river border with Ukraine
F-16s take off for monitoring

The Defence Ministry’s radar surveillance system detected a group of air targets in the vicinity of the river border with Ukraine at around 10:30 on Wednesday, July 29.
The targets flew in the vicinity of the river border with Ukraine, without entering the national airspace. Blasts were reported on Ukrainian territory shortly after.
The alert ended at 11:30.

On Wednesday, July 29, at around 10:30, the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defense detected a group of air targets in the vicinity of the river border with Ukraine.
Two F-16 aircraft from the 86th Air Base in Borcea took off at 10:57 to monitor the situation.
The National Military Command Centre notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding measures to alert the public in Tulcea County via a RO-Alert message. (AMP)
