My guest this week is Geanina Chiricuţă, a music journalist who’s been doing amazing things for the Romanian underground besides writing about it.
After having first set up an online platform called The Interwission, which publishes gig and album reviews, interviews, news stories, op-eds and so on, Geanina very recently set out to establish the first booking agency in Romania devoted exclusively to underground bands. The new agency, called Subvolt, had its release party and concert in late March in Bucharest.
I invited Geanina to RRI’s studio and we had a lovely chat about Subvolt and the Romanian underground scene.
