Kazuaki Oikawa of Kawasaki Japan writes: “I have found a great pleasure in listening to your programmes. Especially your Listeners Letterbox is of great value. I would like to be verified with your QSL card, if my report is correct. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.”
Mr. Yashihiro Toyama of Hamamatsu, Japan writes: “Dear Radio Romania International, greetings from the winter season here in Hamamatsu, Japan. Mr. Sakae Onozawa of Yokohama, Japan writes: “My name is Sakae Onozawa and I was born on August the 25th 1962. I work as a computer systems engineer and my hobbies are shortwave broadcast listening and computational graphics. I am always listening to your broadcasting in Yokohama-city, Japan.”
William Patalon the third, from Fallston, Maryland, the USA writes: “I’ve also enclosed some pamphlets of tourist sites in and around Baltimore. The College Park Airport is the oldest continuously operating commercial airport in America and I believe in the entire world. The war of 1812 is a very cool historical event for Baltimore that is being celebrated through 2014. As you know that war was the inspiration for our National Anthem – The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Robert Charles Ackx of Boskoop, the Netherlands writes:
“Dear friends of Radio Romania International and of the English section in particular. Maria and I wish you and yours Merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy 2014. Thank you very much for the fine CD’s with music of Enescu and earlier the interesting booklet and information on Cluj. All very much appreciated. Although I do not send reception reports regularly, be assured that I listen to your interesting programmes almost daily. When I miss the English transmission I will listen to the French and German one. At present I can listen to RRI via the Internet (very good audio quality) or via satellite Hotbird or shortwaves with a Kenwood R-5000 or a FunCube DonglePro+ attached to the PC.”
